My Top 4 London Coffee Shops

It’s been a couple of months since we were in London, but I finally got around to rounding up my favorite London coffee shops I visited during our week there. If you follow me on Instagram you are well aware by now that my coffee addiction is real. When it comes to finding a cafe to work in I can be very picky.

First of all the coffee shop needs to be Instagram friendly, and the coffee strong.

While it was hard to narrow it down, I didn’t want to bombard you with the 20 or so cafes I visited in 7 days. I’ve rounded up my top four cafes for your next trip to London. During our trip we stayed in Shoreditch and I cannot recommend the area enough!

It reminded me so much of New York but with a more hipster vibe.

The restaurants, cafes and stores were all so swoon worthy. You can also find favorites like Aesop, Kit and Ace, and my uptime fave Le Labo. Deciem just recently set up shop there so it’s obviously the place to be. I’ll be writing an essential London travel guide soon enough, but for now lets stick to the beans.

Monocle Café

Address: 18 Chiltern St, Marylebone, London W1U 7QA, UK

Monocole is easily my favorite on the list. It’s compact, minimal in design, and their cardamom buns are probably one of the best things I’ve ever ate. I love any type of decor that gives me Scandinavian vibes and Monocle is no different. There menu is also amazing so definitely don’t stop at the coffee. Super hipster and soooooo good. Make sure to grab a print of their magazine while you’re there too!

Shoreditch Grind

Address: 213 Old St, London EC1V 9NR, UK

You can find Grind locations littered throughout London but the Shoreditch Grind is the first. We stayed within walking distance to the Grind so I found myself popping in often. Whether it was for a flat white or dirty martini they do them both so so well. They also grind their beans around the corner so you know it’s going to be good.

Pitfield London

Address 31-35 Pitfield St, London N1 6HB, UK

Two words: AVOCADO TOAST. Pair that with a kickass latte and two women behind the bar jamming out the Alanis Morisette and you’ve got yourself a perfect morning. I love coming across any restaurants that are predominantly female run and Pitfields is a favorite. Keep kicking ass ladies!

Farm Girl

Farm Girl Cafe - The essential london coffee shops

Address: 59A Portobello Rd, London W11 3DB, UK

I found this café on Instagram and I so so happy I stumbled upon it. We were exploring Portabello Road and pretty much ran into farm girl when it started to rain. The café was beyond packed, and for good reason. The slice of cake we shared was literally a slice of heaven. My favorite part though was the rose latte. I have never has anything quite like it before. They also create little boston terrier/french bulldog faces on their lattes, which made me miss our pups just a little more. You’ll leave Farm Girl feeling full and with an arsenal of insta worthy photos.
