NYERIE is your new shopping destination for minimalistic and covetable brands.
NYERIE has everything I want in an online store and more. I am always on the lookout for minimalistic pieces and lately I’ve been starting to shy away from mass produced clothing lines( except Zara, because it’s ZARA). When I stumbled onto NYERIE pronounced: nai-ē-rē I was instantly drawn to the clean layout and carefully curated brands. One particular brand I’ve fallen in love with is ABOUT ARIANNE. Her shoes are amazing! I cannot get enough of them. What’s even better is that they are 100% developed and manufactured in Spain.
The owner of NYERIE is a serious Boss Babe and I had the pleasure of asking her a few questions.
Tell us a little about your background and what drove you to start NYERIE.com
I have always loved everything about fashion. Clothes, magazines, photography, you name it. I started working in retail in high school and had a few styling and buying positions following. Boston isn’t a huge fashion city so it was a challenge to keep working in the industry and there were certainly things I would change if I could. I finally came to a point where I knew I wanted fashion to be a part of my life and that’s when nyerie.com was born.
What do you look for in brands when deciding who is a good fit for NYERIE.com?
I choose what I love and believe in. I would never want to sell something I don’t stand by 100% and that will never change. My biggest goal and challenge is to seek out and offer well made, unique and timeless pieces to my customers from designers around the world.
What advice do you have for other women looking to start their own business?
Be honest with yourself and others but the most important thing is to trust yourself and the decisions you make. It’s easy to listen to others opinions and you should always consider them but at the end of the day it’s up to you to move forward and make it work.
Who are your top three boss babes you look up to?
Caroline De Maigret, Lisa Williams of Lisa Says Gah and my mom
What are your favorite words to live by?
Life is too short to wait.
