I feel as though up until recently there has been a lot of shame when talking about women’s health, sexual health in particular.

With the #metoo movement that erupted and dismantled Hollywood and the like last year, it has become more and more “okay,” to talk openly when it comes to women’s health.

Growing up especially in my late teens and early 20’s talking about sexual health and women’s contraceptives was something I was embarrassed to talk about. Except for maybe two women, I was very much closed off. Thankfully, as I’ve become older, the narrative has changed. I’m more than willing to talk to anyone who will listen and am always only a phone call, DM, or email away!

I’ve lost count of the amount of times I went with friends to purchase Plan B, or they have come with me. I’m still not planning for a baby, and this is a great emergency contraceptive when you are in need of one because your regular birth control failed or you had unprotected sex. I purchase Plan B One-Step from CVS and it is located at the front of the store which make it easier if you are wanting to be more discreet. However, if you’re looking for the product and cannot locate it within the store, you can always ask the pharmacist and they will be able to help you!
