What to bring for your next picnic in the park
Spring is FINALLY here in the city, and that means I’ll be spending 90% of my time outdoors! Whether it be taking our pups on extra long walks, opting to bike instead of taking the subway, or planning fun picnics in the park, I’ll try and be outdoors as much as possible! We were lucky enough to get Sheep Meadow in Central Park pretty much to ourselves last weekend (I have no idea how), and we had the most perfect afternoon sipping on wine and hanging out.
I’ve listed four things to bring for your next picnic down below, and I hope it inspires you to opt outside instead of hanging out indoors!
My must have items for an outdoor picnic
Something to sit on
This is kind of a no brainer, but is so important. Comfort is key when spending time outside, especially when it involves food and drinks. I love to use a big woven blanket for picnics. They are super comfortable and really durable. Ours has already lasted us three years!
We usually center our food around what we are drinking. Since it was such a beautiful day, and usually whenever it’s above 70 degrees, all I want is rosé. We had a big breakfast at home that morning and wanted to keep it light but tasty. We grabbed some fresh strawberries and a few grapefruits from the Sunday market and we were ready to go. If we hadn’t had a big meal, we usually opt for some cheese, crackers and maybe a big salad to share.
Like I said earlier, since the weather was so nice, I knew I wanted rosé. Since there are so many different rosé styles out there ranging from sweet to dry Rosé Your Way™ your way has created a personal rosé concierge to help you in choosing the right one. Finding your perfect rosé is literally only a Facebook message away! Click here to take the Rosé Your Way™ quiz. There’s also a Rose 101 option if you feel like brushing up on your wine knowledge and impressing your friends!
I know this is 2018 and EVERYONE and their dog has a smartphone, but a disposable or Polaroid camera is so much more fun. Bring one along to your next picnic gathering and create some new memories!
